Pakistan, India and Afghanistan Rocked by Earthquake – Live Updates

A powerful earthquake has struck south Asia, with tremors felt in northern Pakistan, India and Afghanistan

In Southern Asia, earthquake with magnitude of 7.7 struck on  Pakistan-Afghanistan Border with tremors felt in Northern Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. It occured at 2:10PM local time (5:10 a.m ET). According to the U.S Geological Survey, the earthquake was was centered in a mountainous region 158 miles north-east of the Afghan capital of Kabul at a depth of 133 miles. Strong EarthQuake hits near Pakistan-Afghanistan Border
   According to the reports of associated press tremors were felt for 45 seconds in Kabul. Power has been cut and telephone lines are down. Chief executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, said in a tweet, "Reports coming of damage and injuries in north eastern Afghanistan. Disasters authorities to meet within the hour and respond to the needs."
   The USGS issued an orange alert on the quake. "Significant casualties are likely and the disaster is potentially widespread. Past events with this alert level have required a regional or national level response," the USGS said.

At least 52 deaths were reported till now

Accordint to Mushtaq Gillani (Provincial Minister), at least 18 people died due to earthquake.
In Swat 8 people died including women and children, while four were died in Bajur tribal reigon after building collapsed  in the area. One child of eight year died in Kallar Kahar and one casualty reported from Kasur after the room collapsed. 
  A 14 year child died in Islamgarh in Azad Jammu Kashmir's Mirpur region after a school was collapsed in Earthquake.
